Shannon Airport; Touring the Irish West Coast.
Nestling in the heart of the ever popular village of Bunratty (just outside
Shannon Airport), the Bunratty Castle Hotel sits on a hill bedside the River
Ratty and close to the famous 15th century Bunratty Castle Folk Park and the
landmark pub of Durty Nellys. The Bunratty Castle Hotel has been expanded and
refurbished in recent years and is a cheery and warm hotel.
The hotel is a great location
in which to base a holiday in the Shannon area - for day trips to the Burren,
Cliffs of Moher, Galway and Limerick City and there's plenty of attractions
in the immediate area to appeal to all tastes. |

Accommodation and Style
The hotel takes its name from the
nearby Bunratty
Castle but does not pretend to be a castle despite its name. It is a sprawling
traditional style hotel with a bright façade and is up to date with every modern
convenience. There are 80 guest rooms, all of which are air-conditioned and ensuite.
Bunratty Castle Hotel and its Surroundings
The public areas, partly derived from an 18th century Georgian manor house, have high ceilings, dark wood furnishings, antiques, and open fireplaces.
The focal point is Kathleen's Irish Pub, a multi-room restaurant and bar that presents "Irish Nights" with music and dancing galore including audience participation.
