Varied room-types to satisfy all guests
Castle Durrow has 37 rooms (most are doubles but there are a limited number of
two room family suites which are excellent value). All have been furnished to a
high specification and range from standard rooms, to deluxe (with sleigh beds)
and the master rooms. Master rooms are rooms of scale with high ceilings, four
poster beds and sitting area. All rooms are carefully restored and richly
furnished. Most have wonderful views of the gardens or countryside.
Dining, golf and other facilities
Castle Durrow's team work hard to make the right atmosphere and ambiance. Their
fine restaurant boasts some excellent country house cooking, served in a
professional but informal manner. The extensive sitting rooms and bar are
excellent for whiling away time and there's a snooker room and children's
playroom. The replanted formal gardens are there to admire and their equestrian
centre is due to open soon. Take a walk to the nearby village of
Durrow, venture further to attractive Kilkenny or alternatively relax and take
things easy. There are six golf courses within easy driving reach including
renowned Mount Juliet.
