Hotels in Dublin at the lower end of the price range are usually busy at weekends and want to fill their rooms for more than two nights. As a result many offer discounted rates with discounts of between 15% to 30% for long stay guests.
On weekends, the best value for visitors to Dublin is often to be found in the 4 and 5 star hotels. During the week they are catering to corporate clientele who can afford the higher mid week rates but at weekends they often reduce their rates to fill rooms which would otherwise be vacant.
