Our experience of dealing with folks who are coming to Dublin with their children is that they are most concerned with getting a family room that will accommodate the entire family. In most instances, secure car parking is required and leisure facilities are often a desired option. Unfortunately, Dublin hotels in general are not particularly well equipped with family rooms and the pricing structure, usually based on two persons sharing, makes it quite expensive for those bringing families. Anyway, these are the five hotels in Dublin that we regard as being most suitable for families:
The Holiday Inn on Pearse Street is particularly popular with families. Aside from being on one of Dublin's most noteworthy streets, they invite all children under the age of 12 to stay for free. Child cots are available on request, as well as a babysitting service.
The Skylon operates a fixed room rate policy and does have a number of family rooms, however not all of their rooms can accommodate families. The hotel is located on the north side of the city between the city centre and Dublin Airport. There is no charge for car parking. breakfast not included. From Euro 96.00 Per Room Per Night.
The Ashling Hotel has family rooms available, and a children's discount. They are used to and welcome child guests.
Last but not least, the Camden Court Hotel is one of the few hotels in Dublin that accepts children. It is also one of the few Dublin hotels with a swimming pool, so this tends to be a big decider for many visitors.
