The Leslie family have lived here for 300 years, each generation leaving its mark with a collection of priceless bric-a-brac the like of which would grace a palace. Your bedroom will be extravagantly furnished and themed around an era, colour or country where you will not find a telephone, television or clock!
Accommodation
The ensuite bathrooms are a feature in their own right with fabulously large baths, wacky showers and outrageous toilets all done in a very tongue in cheek style, reflecting the family's mildly eccentric history and the wonders of Victorian plumbing. The peace and quiet makes for a great nights sleep and breakfast is a casual affair which is served until noon on Sundays with all the newspapers to browse through. The 1998 Good Hotel Guide described the experience as "Utterly enjoyable and mildly eccentric. Many of the individually named rooms have Lake or Garden views, and all are superbly appointed.
Facilities
The vast estate of Castle Leslie boasts many experiences worth having. There is a fantastic parkland, three lakes and many native trees of oak, sycamore and ash, all dating nack to Celtic times. One can enjoy a game of tennis, row a boat across a lake, or simply enjoy the beautiful Irish surroundings.
