the newly expanded and rejuvenated
Bunratty Castle Hotel has a running

much-visited village of Bunratty
just five miles from Shannon Airport,

the River Ratty across the street
from the famous 15th century Bunratty
Castle & Folk Park and the adjacent
landmark pub known as Durty Nellys.

The hotel itself is not a castle
and does not pretend to be, in spite
of its name. It is a sprawling traditional-style
two- and three-story building with
a sunny yellow façade and every

The public areas, partly derived
from an 18th century Georgian manor
