Glin Castle

Glin
Co. Limerick

Introduction
Surrounded by an estate of 500 acres of dairy farm and sweeping park land, Glin Castle is certainly one of the most unique places to stay in Ireland. Located near the River Shannon, the castle is surrounded by formal gardens with clipped hedges, stone urns and busts, a parade of yew trees, a series of follies, and walled garden which supplies the castle's kitchen with fresh fruit and vegetables as well as cut flowers for the rooms.

Accommodation
There are 15 double bedrooms, all en-suite, which can be reserved on an individual basis. Should you require, the entire castle may be rented as a fully staffed unit for events such as small weddings or family reunions. Each sumptuously comfortable bedroom is furnished with period pieces, as well as a varied collection of Irish prints and drawings. The rooms have either a blush cosiness or an airy elegance, and the wonderful decor and bustling staff qualify Glin as one of the most comfortable of castles to visit.

Facilities
The hotel staff, friendly and professional, will meet your every need during your stay at Glin Castle. There are a variety of public rooms within the large castle complex, such as the Sitting Room (smoking room), the Castle Hall overlooking the River Shannon, and the fabulous drawing room. On-site dining is also available, with Irish country house cooking at its best. The castle grounds are free for you to explore should you wish to, and you will.
