Hotels with Leisure Facilities

Dublin is, unfortunately, lacking in hotels that are equipped with full leisure facilities. These are the only hotels in the city centre, that I am aware of, which have a swimming pool and full fitness equipment. There are other hotels with fitness equipment which may be suitable if a swimming pool is not required.


The Merrion Hotel - On Merrion St. opposite Dail Eireann ( Irish Parliament). Arguably, Dublin's top hotel. Expect to pay between Euro 250.00 & Euro 300.00 for a standard room. Excellent leisure facilities including a swimming pool and well equipped fitness room>

The Shelbourne Hotel - Experience old style luxury & service in this historical Dublin hotel overlooking St. Stephens Green. From Euro 250.00 Per Room Per Night. The facilities in their leisure complex are excellent and include a swimming pool together with all the latest gym equipment. The leisure facilities are limited to guests over 18 years of age.

The Davenport Hotel and the Alexander Hotel are in close proximity to one another and both offer superb leisure and exercise equipment, though neither has a swimming pool.

The Camden Court Hotel has a full leisure centre including indoor pool, gym sauna etc. Everything you could need for a vigourous workout or to wind down at the end of a busy day. Rates from Euro 105 per room per night.

At the Clarion Hotel in the IFSC centre, The Sanovitae Health and Fitness Club offers an 18-metre swimming pool, and a superbly equipped gymnasium with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. With T'ai chi, yoga and aerobics classes also available, the Sanovitae Health Club is the ideal environment in which to unwind after a hectic and stressful day. Rates available form Euro 130 per room per night.
